The Reindeer
With a heavy heart after 13 years of keeping Reindeer at Riverways Farm we have made the decision to rehome them with local friends who will carry on taking them on educational/ public visits.
We made this hard decision after DEFRA made some legislative changes which meant as we are open to the public we would now need a Zoo License, these licenses are extremely expensive plus require a lot of administration and would mean we would have to charge people to visit the farm which we don’t want to do.
We have thoroughly enjoyed having the Reindeer at Riverways Farm and miss them terribly however we know they are in very capable and loving hands.

Reindeer
Due to a change of legislation we have made the decision to rehome the Reindeer locally who will continue to take them out for public /educational visits.

Berries
It is now berry season. We sell strawberries and Raspberries grown on the surrounding farm so 0 food miles.
